About
Kidha?!
I'm Anjanee- a Registered Dietitian, content creator and nutrition coach. I'm also Punjabi. You may think culture and nutrition don't really overlap, but I feel strongly that clients don't need to lose their heritage in the pursuit of "healthy" eating (what is healthy anyway?!) so I try and bring that to my work, always.
Like many dietitians, a true passion of mine is food. Whether it be baking, writing, finding new restaurants, teaching or learning traditional recipes from my Mum, I love it all.
I followed this passion and changed my career trajectory to become a dietitian back in 2015, and haven't looked back since!
I studied at Nottingham University as a mature student for 4 years, and loved every second. In my NHS career, I've found myself working with patients to provide support for allergies, diabetes, weight management, enteral feeding, nutrition support and autism. Now that was a mouthful! I now specialise in diabetes at a busy paediatric hospital in the Midlands, which I feel very passionately about.
On a personal level, having battled with my weight for most of my life, I know how difficult it is to know what and how to eat. It really is a minefield out there, especially with the variety of (sometimes questionable) information shared on social media. This, combined with old wives' tales about food spread at family functions, makes it even more difficult.
That's when I created my page and starting creating content to try and challenge the misinformation out there. Don't get me wrong, it's an ongoing battle many of us are fighting, but it's also a passion of mine and my creative outlet.
If you feel we'd be able to work together, I look forward to helping you live a healthier life, improve your relationship with food, and translate nutrition information into an easy to understand format.
